On Tuesday, March 24, the Mustangs defeated the Palos Verdes Sea Kings with a final score of 11-7.
Junior Alex Gaal led the Mustangs in the singles division by winning all three of his games. He defeated PV’s number one 6-4 and then the numbers two and three with scores of 6-1. In the doubles division, Junior twins Blake and Tanner Suard also contributed to the Mustangs victory with three wins of their own with scores of 6-3, 6-4, and 6-2.
“Everyone played very well today,” Gaal said, “It was really important to win our first league game and I think it gives us a lot of confidence going forward.”
Mira Costa’s next match will be on Thursday, March 26 against Peninsula High School at Peninsula at 2:30.
