Security Lead and Head Football Coach Ray Lee has been nominated as Classified Employee of the Year for Mira Costa High School and will be honored at the district board meeting on May 20 at 6:30pm.
Lee was first employed by Mira Costa in 1993 but is being awarded for his service this year specifically. According to Principal Ben Dale, who helped choose the nominee, Lee has done a particularly amazing job this school year regarding his both of his positions. In terms of security, he has dealt with obstacles regarding possible threats on the social media app ‘Yik Yak’.
“We have had several impactful moments this year where Ray has gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure the safety of our learning environment,” Dale said.
