Mira Costa’s boys soccer team crushed Santa Monica 3-0 on Friday at home. The Mustangs played strong in their last preseason game before they enter league.

Senior Adrian Caldevilla scored two goals in the first half of the game, putting Costa on top. In the second half, junior Raphael Diogo scored bringing the end score to 3-0. According to Caldevilla, the boys moved the ball really well throughout the game.

“I think we came out strong,” Caldevilla said. “Knowing it was our last non league game we needed to make this one count and we ended preseason on a good note.”

Costa will play its next game Tuesday against Palos Verdes at Palos Verdes High School at 3 p.m. The Mustangs are currently 5-0 overall. According to senior team captain Justin Fairchild, the upcoming game will be tough but he thinks the Mustangs will come out with the win.

“PV is strong but not as strong as years past,” Fairchild said. “We have good chemistry as a team and we look as if we can do well against them.”
