The Mira Costa boys basketball team was defeated at home on Jan. 18 in their third Bay League game. With the 59-52 loss to Leuzinger High School, Costa now has a season record of 8-11 and 1-2 Bay League record.
Seniors Elliot Ozer and Thomas Johnson led the Mustangs in the showdown with the Olympians. Ozer led in points and Johnson led in rebounds. Despite these strong efforts, Costa could not emerge victorious.
The Mustangs travel to Palos Verdes on Jan. 21 for a Bay League game against the Peninsula Panthers.
