Although Boys Waterpolo lets up a bit, they still manage to bring home a win

Mira Costa’s boys water polo barely keeps their head above water, winning, 11-10 at the away game against Palos Verdes High School, on Thursday, Oct. 24. The top performer of the game was, junior Jake Carter. 

The Mustangs had a really strong start ending the first quarter, 4-0. In the second quarter they ended 7-3, keeping strong offense. In the second half of the game they let up a bit letting Palos Verdes get six more goals in before the game ended. Although it was close, Costa kept up and brought home a win, 11-10.

“We had a really great team win,” Carter said. “Everyone did their part and that’s what was needed to beat Palos Verdes.”

Costa’s Mustangs are scheduled to play at an away game against big rivals, Redondo Union High School on Monday, Oct. 28. 

“Going up against Redondo, we will play our best since are one of our biggest rivals,” senior captain Ryder Theodore said.
