Mira Costa girls soccer kept their winning streak defeating Torrance High School, 3-0 at home on Monday, December 9. Their win was all thanks to senior, Grace Watkins scoring all three goals.

The Mustangs came out strong from the beginning, scoring two goals in the first half, giving them a strong lead. In the second half, Costa gained possession very quickly and scored a goal in the first ten minutes of the half. Throughout the rest of the game Costa held the ball until it ended, 3-0.

“We all worked super hard and were able to generate a lot of chances in front of the goal,” Watkins said. “Our defense did well to work together and were able to shut down Torrance’s offense.”

The Mustangs are scheduled to play at South High School for their fourth game of the season on Wednesday, December 11. Costa’s record is 4-0.

“We played South in previous years and it’s always a good match,” Watkins said. “I think we will do well if we all show up to play.”
