Varsity girls golf played in the Bay League Finals on Monday against Redondo, South Torrance, West Torrance, and Santa Monica. Junior Lucy Langlois, junior Grace Kiger, and senior Chloe Silagan will advance to the California Interscholastic Federation Individual Tournament at the Los Robles Greens Golf Course in Thousand Oaks.

Langlois and Kiger are ranked seventh and eighth on the first all Bay League team with season averages of 44.429 and 46.536, respectively. Silgan made the second all Bay League team with a season average of 49.

“Individually, I think I played pretty well,” Kiger said. “I could have done better, but I am very proud of myself for not giving up after a couple hard holes. I am still in shock that I placed in [the] league finals; there [were] a lot of amazing players.”

The team has an overall record of 4-6, with a Bay League record of 4-4. The Bay League Finals marked the end of team competition this season, and the three qualifiers will move on to the CIF Individual Tournament on Oct. 27.

“I’m looking forward to playing in the individual [tournament] on Wednesday with my friend and teammate Lucy,” Kiger said. “We both have worked really hard, and [it] feels great to have someone I know placing in league finals.”
