On Feb. 17, the Mira Costa Mustangs boys soccer team beat Laguna Hills High School 2-1 in their first CIF game of the year.
Seniors Charlie Pitts and Alex De La Espriella scored the two goals to keep the Mustangs alive in the CIF pool.
The Mustangs improve their record to 13-3-5 with the win. They will travel to Robert A. Millikan Senior High School in Long Beach for their second CIF game of the season on Feb. 18.
