The Mustang’s track team hit the road on March 12 to compete in the Culver City Relays. There was no general team win as it was an invitational, where individuals and relay teams worked for their own wins.

In the boys varsity pole vaulting division, senior Ryan Morrow took home a first, sophomore Sean Griffin placed second, and junior Tyler Hext finished in third place. In the girls division. sophomore Meghan Burns led the Mustangs with a first place finish.

On the track, the girls had many victorious relay teams. The girls varsity 4×1600 team took home the gold medal as anchor senior Aryn Foland finished before the other teams had even made their last hand-off. The 4×800 team won as well led by junior Claire Barnett. The girls pulled out an impressive win in the 4X200 relay race, led by junior Charlotte Barnett.

The Mustangs will look to continue their strong season on March 17, when the team hosts South Torrance.
