The Mustangs boys and girls track team welcomed both West Torrance and Leuzinger High School on April 28. Both teams emerged victorious, earning the boys a share of the League title and the girls a tie for second place in the league.
Junior Adam Perez finished first in the mile while his teammate senior Brett Douville finished in second place in the Mustangs’ win.
On the girls side, the Mustangs swept all distance events with first, second and third places. Contributions came from runners seniors Aryn Foland and Savannah Pio, juniors Kelli Sugimoto and Jenna Tong and sophomore Sarah Locke-Henderson.
The Mustangs finish their team season with this meet, though individuals prepare for Bay League preliminaries and finals which take place on May 2 and May 6.
