The Mira Costa baseball team beat the Millikan Rams 6-0 in a nonleague match on April 30.
The Mustangs began the game with a deep two run homer by senior catcher Derek Largent. The shot went to the deepest part of the field and put the Mustangs up 2-0.
Junior Turner Conrad pitched well for the Mustangs and senior closer Morgan Ascher finished the game with a win for the Mustangs.
The Mustangs scattered more runs throughout the game, defeating the 11-15 Rams. With the victory, Mira Costa improves to 15-12 on the season. They host Redondo on May 4.
