On Dec. 20, the Mira Costa boys basketball team faced and defeated Legacy High School in the Palm Springs Tournament. The Mustangs won with a final score of 68-63, bringing Costa’s record to 9-2 overall.
Senior Cooper Pugnale led Costa with 27 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Justin Strings added 10 points and seven rebounds while junior Kevin Kim had 10 points and three steals.
Costa proceeds with the tournament on Dec. 21 against Palm Springs High School.
