Girls tennis defeated Palos Verdes High School, 10-8, on Tuesday at PV, improving its overall record to 6-0.

“We did a great job  working together as a team,” freshman Maily Hunh said. “I think everyone’s mindset and positivity helped us win the match.”

The top performers of the match were  the number-one doubles team senior Kacey Feng and junior Sydney Vo, who went undefeated throughout the match, helping their team take this win.

“I think the team did a really great job fighting for the win,” Vo said. “I knew the match was going to be close and a tough battle, but I think we all tried our best and it paid off.”

The Mustangs will compete next against Peninsula High School on April 13 at Peninsula. According to junior Haily Huynh, the Mustangs are confident in their strategy to beat the Panthers.

“Our strategy is to stack our doubles since they are the key to getting points,” Huynh said. “I think remaining positive and practicing hard will help us beat Peninsula.”
