The Mira Costa boys golf team traveled to Wilshire Country Club on Feb. 28 to take on Loyola High School in their first match of the season. Costa barely managed a 202-199 win over Loyola.
The narrow win was due in large part to juniors David Kim and Lorenzo Dylanwater. They each shot a 40. Senior JP Harper led the team by shooting a 39 in the first nine holes.
The Mustangs will host Loyola High School on March 3 at Chester Washington golf course. They hope to make an early season sweep of the Cubs.
