The Mira Costa boys golf team traveled to Lakewood Country Club on May 9, to compete in the first round of the CIF play-offs. The top three teams in the tournament advance to the second round and the Mustangs will therefore continue with a third place finish.
Junior David Kim led the Mustangs by shooting a 76 in their 401 point effort to move on to the second round. Freshman James Houston added a 79 while senior JP Harper contributed with an 80.
The Mustangs will hit the road on May 12, looking to advance to the third round of CIF at Mission Lakes golf course.
