The Mira Costa Mustangs fell to the Capistrano Valley Cougars 6-1 in a non-league match on April 6 in a tournament.
Junior Turner Conrad added some passion to the last outing with his pitching but it was not enough to win.
With the loss, Mira Costa’s record is now 11-6. Entering Bay League, the boys hope to win for the third year in a row. On April 13, they take on West away and then host the Warriors on April 15.
